WSDA seeks assistance in halting Japanese Beetle spread

The Washington States Department of Agriculture (WSDA) is asking for help from Yakima County residents in stopping the spread of Japanese Beetles.

Residents that live in Grandview, Sunnyside, Outlook, Mabton and Prosser can receive free treatment that will help stop the spread of the beetles.

In 2023, more than 19,000 beetles were caught within the Yakima, Benton and Franklin County with an increasing number of beetles being caught in Sunnyside and Mabton.
