Aquatic ecologist John Crandall is taking water temperatures in rivers and streams throughout the valley to find extra-cold pools crucial to fish survival. Suspension Creek, which flows into the Methow River near the Tawlks-Foster Suspension Bridge, is a reliable source of cold water.
